Obituary of Karen J. Markle

Karen J. Markle a lifetime resident of the area died on October 21, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital.  She was 69. 

The daughter of the late John and Theresa Williams, she was born on March 28, 1955 in Port Jervis, NY.

Karen worked side by side with her husband Daniel as the proprietors of Len & Jo’s Pizzeria.  She gave many dedicated years to operating a Port Jervis fixture but her family will remember her as the devoted wife, mother and grandmother that she was.  Karen and Daniel just celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary, after all these years working and living together his life will never be the same. 

In addition to her parents Karen was predeceased in life by her brother James Williams, sister in law Helen Meloi with her husband Charles and brother in law Raymond Markle with his wife Barbara. 

Beloved wife of Daniel J. Markle.  Loving mother of Jason Markle (Jennifer Latini) and Jeremy Markle.  Cherished grandmother of Hailey, Gavin, Grant and Daisy Markle.  Dear sister of John Williams.  Sister in law of Katie Fuller (Tom Biandi) and Marie Woodruff (Bob Woodruff).  Karen’s family life included Kellie Markle, Heather VanHorn, Zacchary Davis and Ariel Davis.

A visitation will take place on Thursday 10/24 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30PM at Knight -Auchmoody Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will commence at 7:30PM at the Funeral Home.  Following services cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.
