Ellen was a treasure to everyone in her life, and I was lucky enough to call her my friend. I will never forget her warmth, her wit, her wise words, and most of all the way she loved and cared about you. She always made time for the people in her life, and most especially her beloved kids and grandkids, her nephews and nieces, and her sisters who she adored. She cherished family above all, and that included making her friends feel like family.
I’ll miss you more than I can say Elly Belly. Your kindness and generosity of spirit will forever be your legacy.

My memories with Ellen are too many to list, but here are a few. Harriman college days - sitting in front hall mirror & Ellen cutting my hair (not too well), getting ready to go to Bonnie's & The Shack, to hanging with Mario & Tommy. To being roommates in two different apartments (with baby Michael), going to Harriman College reunions. And to all our phone conversations. I love you so much & will miss you like crazy. RIP my sister from another mother.

Ellen was an inspiration from the young age of about 15 years old. We met and worked together at the Cafe' Miltenberg in Middletown, NY. I will never forget Ellen's energy, sweet voice, bright eyes, beautiful smile and nurturing ways, always working so hard. Ellen was kind and helpful at the cafe and trusted me enough to sit a few times for Mike and Shannon. I also had the pleasure of working with Mike at MV. He has his mom's energy. The last time I saw Ellen, about 40 years after the cafe, was when she worked for PJ PD. It was like we never skipped a beat, her warm hug, catching up and laughing about the days at the cafe. Thank you Ellen for making a difference in my life as a youngster just starting out all those years ago and for touching so many hearts along the way. You have a beautiful family, watch over them from above. May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Healing prayers for Mike, Shannon your families, Chief Worden and the PJ PD. Ellen was the best Friend to everyone she came in contact with. Always with a smile and song,she loved to sing. Even threw a little dance in too. Happy and upbeat,she was the ultimate definition of Sunshine!
Ellen was fun and pretty funny. An all around beautiful soul! We worked together caring for elders and we had so much fun making them laugh and smile! I miss Ellen dearly. RIP my loving Pal!

My memory of her is will always be sleeping over my friend's house in the 1990's and being woken up to a vacuum cleaner near my head at like 6am. I may be exaggerating a bit in 2024 but not by a lot? She was warm and sweet and caring and generous. She was such a kind and thoughtful person. I've also never met a person so unbelievably proud of her family. She would tell me that I was part of her family. I can't put into words how proud I was of that type of sentiment for me. The world is a sadder place without her. However, the world is also a much better place because of her. The energy she took through her 68+ year journey through this world and the children and grandchildren that she left behind are all testaments to her impact on this world. May she rest in peace.
