Obituary of Candace Leigh Tidd

Candace Leigh Tidd a lifetime resident of Port Jervis was taken by the Lord to join her dear sister Pam on June 2, 2023.  

Daughter of Joan Tanner Wagner and the late Wallace Moore she was born on September 9, 1955.

Candy grew up on Lake Hawthorne in Greenville with her mom and grandparents.  She was a graduate of Minisink Valley High School.  As a teenager she worked at Jamesway and would later do stints at Kolmar & Mercy Community Hospital before becoming a full time Domestic Engineer raising her 2 boys.  She loved antique shopping and country style furniture.  She was an old soul who would have loved to have grown up with the Waltons.  Candy now joins the spirit world that she was a believer in and will know if aliens actually exist or not.  

In addition to her father and sister Candy was predeceased in life by her stepfather Warren Wagner and grandparents Bert & Alice Tanner whom she always recalled fondly. 

Beloved wife of William Tidd who would of celebrated 48 years on June 22nd.  Devoted mother of Adam Tidd with his wife Jess of Glen Spey and Cameron Tidd with his wife Melissa of Goshen.  Cherished daughter of Joan Tanner Wagner.  Her half brothers Gary Moore & Brian Moore.  Half sister Jan Fox.   Best friend and sister in law of Rhonda Stevenson.  Sister in law of Harry Tidd, Susie Hughson, Arlene Guellich and Linda Edwards.  Her fur babies Chewy & Henry.  She will be missed by a range of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  

There will be no formal visitation.  A funeral procession will form and leave 11:15AM Wednesday June 7th from the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis NY 12771.  Graveside service to follow 11:30AM Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush.  The Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.
