Obituary of Robert L. Klotz

Robert L. Klotz age 82, of Sparrowbush, NY passed peacefully, January 18, 2022 at home with his family by his side. Bob was born in Queens, NY on March 25, 1939, the son of Louis W. Klotz and Dorothy Thornton Klotz. He worked for Verizon Communications in Monticello, NY until his retirement in 1992. He did a great deal of volunteering in many capacities throughout the years. He was partner with his wife and their son Matt for 27 years, owning and operating Twin Oaks Greenhouse and Garden Center in Sparrowbush. Bob dedicated his life to the love of God and family. He was a very faithful member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5890, Washingtonville, NY. Bob married his soulmate Margaret F. Geiger on June 2, 1962. Peggy pre-deceased him on June 22, 2020. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Klotz and his wife Dawn of Sparrowbush, Christopher Klotz, MD. and his wife Carrie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Matthew Klotz and his wife Jennie of Sparrowbush, his daughters, Pamela Henn and her husband Arthur of Roselle Park, NJ, and Elizabeth Frangipane and her husband Nicholas of Cochecton, NY, and his beloved 14 grandchildren; Sarah and her husband Nathan, Joel and his wife Kiley, Emily and her husband Sean, Noel, Joshua, Andrew, Shannon, Levi, Julia, Daniel, Gabriel, Abigail, Hunter and Elaina, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was pre-deceased by his sister, Carol Ann Collins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11 AM, Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, NY. Rev. Matthew Newcomb will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY. Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.
