Raymond Willis age 77 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away, January 2, 2022 at Garnet Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was born on October 27, 1944 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of David and Charlotte Love Willis. He proudly served our country from 1967-1969 with the US Army and was a member of the Roosa-Fleming VFW Post #161 in Port Jervis. Ray married Jamie Smith Willis, who pre-deceased him on September 8, 2015. Ray owned and operated Minisink Lanes in Port Jervis, for over 40 years. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Ray was instrumental in the recent revitalization of Port Jervis Bowl. He is survived by his two sons; Raymond Willis and his wife Karin of Milford, PA, and Jay Willis and his wife Patricia of Harleysville, PA, his beloved grandchildren; Brigette, Heidi, Dayna and Paige. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM, Wednesday, January 5 , at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the funeral home. Rev. Amy Garrett will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
