Obituary of Joseph A Bullaro
Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joseph A. Bullaro son of Giuseppa Dilluvio and Vincenzo Bullaro was born into this world on July 26, 1946 in Borgetto,Sicily.
He loved being outdoors, helping his family, dancing, singing (a little off key), reading, going fast in old school muscle cars, reminiscing with friends over a glass of wine, talking politics, Entenmann’s apple pies and coffee, rescuing his daughter from various wild beasts, and doing anything from picking acorns to playing nerf guns with his grandson.
He dedicated his life to taking care of his family. Until his well earned and early retirement, he worked for the NYC Transit Authority as a mechanic.
His legacy to this world are his two loving daughters Teresa Bullaro and Janet Spano, his son in law and friend Joe Spano, his son Gordon Bullaro, his grandsons Anthony Bullaro and Nicholas Bullaro, and his grandson and partner in crime Joseph Spano.
He is survived by his brother Thomas Bullaro, his sister Josephine Celano, and so many god children, nieces, and nephews we would need an entire page. As well as many loving friends.
He fought until the end and passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Place on December 13, 2021 held by his family and grateful to have his daughter’s singing muted.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you help fight this horrible disease with donations to the Alzheimer’s organization on his behalf.
Grandpa, we love you unconditionally, we will always remember you, and we are so grateful to have the time we did with you, although we would have liked it to be a bit longer. We are not ok right now, but we will be. You are at peace now and we will tell you all about the ride when we see you again.
