David M. Drapala Obituary

David M. Drapala a lifelong resident of Port Jervis died on January 15, 2025 at Garnet Health Medical Center.  He was 70 years old. 


The son of the late Stanley and Odile Drapala, he was born October 30, 1954 in Port Jervis. 


David loved watching sports most especially his NY Jets and Mets games.  He was an avid fisherman and music enthusiast who enjoyed playing his guitar.  


In addition to his parents David was predeceased in life by his brother Steven Drapala.  


Beloved husband of Bernetta Drapala.  Devoted father of Tiffany Drapala with her fiancé Charles Lukoba, Aimee Rufino with her husband Paul and Adam Drapala.  Dear brother of Michael Drapala with his wife Sandy, Louise Limbacher her husband Carl and brother in law of Anna Drapala.  Grandfather of Troy Drapala, Liam & Emma Rufino and Aziza Sheets.  David was a cherished uncle to his many nieces and nephews and cousin who will be missed.  


A visitation will take place on Sunday 1/19 from 1 to 4:00PM at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home.  On Monday visiting will resume from 10:30AM to 11:30AM followed by a prayer service at the funeral home.  Following services burial will immediately take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis.  


Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
