Obituary of Betty J. Hartmann

Betty J. Hartmann passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024 in Midlothian Virginia.  She was 93 years old.

The daughter of the late Fred and Iola Heater, she was born October 11, 1931 in Middletown, NY.

Betty was retired from the Port Jervis School District having served as the Director of Food Services.  She was a life member of the Sparrowbush Ladies Auxiliary. 

In addition to her parents Betty was predeceased in life by her husband Francis E. Hartmann Jr and her son Joseph E. Hartmann.

Beloved mother of Paul F. Hartmann with his wife Diane, Laura Lincoln with her husband James and Warren Gotthardt with his wife Rose.  Cherished grandmother of Paul M. Hartmann (Jill), Annemarie Lincoln (Ruben Perez), Eric Hartmann (Nicole), Kimberly Chappell (Richard), Andy Wilson, and Kelly Wilson.   

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday 11/12 10:00AM at St. Mary’s RC Church 48 Ball Street Port Jervis, NY.  Immediately following burial will take place at East Cochecton Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family strongly requests donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
