Obituary of Paul R. Lovelace Jr.

Paul R. Lovelace Jr. of Eldred, passed away on November 2nd, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 69 years old. Born on August 29th 1955, Paul dedicated much of his life to his country and community.
Paul honorably served as a Seabee in the US Navy from 1972-1975, and continuing his commitment in the reserves until 1982. After his military career, he worked as an equipment operator for 38 years with the International Union Operating Engineers, where he was respected for his skill and strong work ethic.
Beyond his professional life, Paul was an avid outdoorsman. Each year, he looked forward to deer hunting season, a cherished tradition among family and friends. He also frequently joined his son in North Dakota for pheasant hunting and fishing, his favorite being walleye fishing which he loved doing with his grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Patti of 52 years, his father, Paul R Lovelace Sr, and his wife Joo Young; his sister Mena Cullen; his son Paul R Lovelace III and his wife Lindsey, along with their three children Easton, Hudson, and Maya; his daughter Crystal Lovelace, and her son Colton (Papas Boy); his son in law Robert Burns, and his two children Wesley and Demetrius; and his brothers Kevin and Timothy Lovelace; sisters Joann Marks, and Patricia Littles; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
His family remembers him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother whose guidance and love shaped their lives profoundly.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Lovelace, his oldest daughter Sandra and sister Linda Greeley.
Paul’s life was marked by his love for his family, his dedication to providing for them and his joy in the simple pleasures of nature. His legacy of strength and kindness will live on through his family and all who know him.
Services are private at this time. Cremation took place at MacLennon Hall crematorium, Milford.
Paul will be laid to rest at a future date with his daughter, Sandra in the family plot of Montoza Cemetery, Barryville.
