Steve was a great guy reliable, trustworthy, just like his Dad. He could always be counted on. I remember he used to buy old bicycles, fix them up and give them to the kids in the neighborhood. We had a lot of great times in the H&L and late nights sitting around the card table. He will be sorely missed.

Steve was a good and faithful friend. I had the pleasure of attending many classes with him in school, served in PJFD with him for 50 years, and we worked with him.for nearly 15 years. You could always count on Steve! He came from a great family.

This is terribly sad. We spoke a few days ago, so I'm happy we bumped into each other. Bake was the hardest working man I knew. He was amiable and funny and I often saw how people responded so well to him. I told him, a few times, he should have run for office. A tough guy who did not have to play tough. When he got to Ball Street, marching in the Fireman's Day Parade, he's leave his company's formation and visit us and the neighborhood until the crew got moving again. And, of course, everybody lit up seeing him. I know, too, in his time in law enforcement he did his duty, was courageous and fair. The pleasure was mine, Bake. Mike Misczuk

So sad to hear of our Step Dad passed away. He was a good husband and provider to our Mother Jeanie and he danced with our Sister Rachel at her wedding. Once I was going through a rough patch. I was really bummed and Steven gave me some of the best advice, he said “It’s just the human condition and everybody goes through it.” I’ll never forget it. He was right and once I stopped worrying about things out of my control and started to work on my situation everything worked out for the best and I got on with life. RIP Steve you were a good Man. I’m glad I got to know you.
