William "Willie" Eichner Obituary

William (Willie) Eichner passed away surrounded by family on June 30, 2024, at the age of 83.

Born in the Bronx, NY, on March 5, 1941, Willie lived his life for his family and the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish with his brothers and nephews and taught his children and grandchildren to fish. He enjoyed soaking in all that nature has to offer. His sense of humor knew no bounds and he went through life with a smile. An adoring husband, father, and poppy, he did everything he could to make his family happy. He loved to go above and beyond to decorate for the holidays and always had a story to tell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marian; daughters Anne (Michael), Christine, and Mary (Timothy); grandchildren Heather (Brian), Abigail, Nathasha, and Ryan; siblings Dennis, Mary (Chris), and Raymond (Michelle); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Catherine; and his siblings, Eileen, Jack, and Andrew.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 5, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home in Port Jervis, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6, at 10am at North American Martyrs Chapel, Putnam Valley, NY. Immediately following the Mass, burial will take place at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY. Please note, the procession will meet directly at the church on Saturday, not from the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
