Patricia H. Morgan, formerly of Port Jervis, NY, passed away on May 28, 2024, in Bethlehem, PA at the age of 83.
Born on May 24, 1941, she grew up in Rio, NY and graduated from Port Jervis High School in 1959.
She received her nursing degree from Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Her nursing career was primarily in Port Jervis, NY at St. Francis/Mercy Community Hospital and for Dr. David Brody and Dr. Walter Kaufmann.
Pat joined her sister-in-law, Ann Hunt, as a co-owner of Nana’s Nook gift shop in the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing. Ever one to help the family, she went on to positions at the hotel in the dining room, accounting, and sales. You could find Pat wherever she was needed.
Pat married William R. Morgan in February, 1980. She was a devoted wife to Bill for 36 years. She was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She had great devotion to her faith and lived her life accordingly.
Never in the limelight, she still made many deep, genuine connections and became a pillar in the community. Always a nurse, she volunteered for blood pressure clinics, cancer support groups, and was always one to take care of family and friends. The ultimate caretaker through and through, she helped establish a Parkinson’s support group in her living community so her legacy will continue to touch others.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte (Eckert) Hunt, her husband William R. Morgan, her brothers Michael Hunt, Sr. and Charles Edward Hunt, Jr., and son-in-law Jeffrey Stasa.
