Topper
I dont know where to start so ill start at the begining...I came to know him through my Dad Ed Howey..every weekend we would load our car up with all us and go to visit Aunt Betty on Mt Road it was always a good time...mainly lots of laughter. There i met TopperanPat. I was told they were family that was enough.....till this day i still dont know how they are related.. I remember every get together every family occasion TopperanPat were always there you could count on that.....you might ask why I write TopperanPat ....well thats what they were to me. TOPPERANPAT. Always together..
Fast forward many years..somehow and dont exactly remember the details. But Topper and Bruce (my partner) some how became Best friends I mean the kind that sit on the porch all day in the rocking chairs and smoke cigarettes tell stories and laugh so much laughter came from those 2..if they werent on the porch they were in the garage planning how fool me with something...one of those was the Hillbilly hot tub. Topper said he was butt naked from the waist down. I told him now my plants were going to Die..and let me not forget that when they left each other for the night that was not the end they would text each other like teenage girls and their BFF...I heard alot from them on the porch Topper would talk so proudly of his children and their lives. How Buck was doing so well in his job and his part in saving someone...how Buck was such a good father to his children he talked about Buck when he raced at accord...he was proud of what DeAnn and buck were together he would brag about all Bucks children what they were doing in school the sports they were playing...he was just plain proud of his son...Topper Talked of his Daughter Cheri when she and Anna got them Beautiful Babies he was so happy...and he worried. We went to Homers one day to wait for Pat.there had just been a bad storm or hurricane by Cheri. And he hadnt heard from her he was a wreck he said if he didnt hear soon he was walking there himself thank goodness before we left he got that call because I know he would have started walking...TopperanPat we went to A Nascar race along with Toppers brothers we went to auctions manycook outs.......Topper loved his family. He was so proud that his brothers and he became so close after his sister passed...I have so many memories and so many observations and thoughts. TopperanPat...they learned the secret of being together yes they had their squabbles everyone does. But they learned the secret just because you dont agree on something doesnt mean you give up you compromise..you go forward. ( i actually think they agreed more then they let on) he loved Pat. He would go and have coffee while she worked..they made plans together. I loved TopperanPat. .....whe Bruce Passed away I watched Buck walking his father down the hall in the hospital Topper was crying and I didnt know why He said im so sorry Chris. I didnt know yet Bruce passed...I watched a piece of Topper leave with Bruce.....Topper kept up his role as Bruces friend. He would call me a least once a month to see how i was doing. He would catch me up to date on his children grandchildren and his brothers Families and I would catch him up on mine. When Pat notified me of Toppers Passing i checked my phone and it was one month to the day he last called me.....theese are things i learned from him love your family put them first. Dont sweat the small stuff. Check on your Friends. And alway always share the Laughter. I will miss you cho cho...to his brothers keep going... for each other. Cheri and Buck DeAnn and Anna. Keep being the family he was so proud of all his grandchildren always always remember how much he loved each and every one of you...Pat...carry on the legacy that you and he built together through the love you to shared. For your family...and for the rest of us be thankful that we had A TopperanPat in our lives...

To my dearest uncle topper; Thank you for all the memories from when I was a kid. The countless amount of laughter and pure joy. You always found a way to make me smile along with everyone around you. Even when times were tough, didn’t matter the situation you were there for all of us. You were everyones rock and will remain that way. Thank you for being you, and most importantly for the memories you gave us. ❤️

Topper aka "Rain man"!
Every time we went camping together, it rained! EVERY TIME.
There are so many memories to choose from. From camping trips, race track trips, dinner trips, weddings, birthdays, funerals, new years parties, cook outs, and of course just having coffee and coffee cake together. You and Pat were such an important part of my life from my childhood and best friends with my dad and my mom. I looked at you as a father figure when mine wasn't there, especially after he moved away. Then you became a friend as I became an adult and had my own family. My husband and children loved you so much, but who didn't love you. I think you loved everyone, especially your family.
Let's not even talk about your contagious laugh and your bright smile, the way you made everyone else laugh. The funniest thing ever was the OH CHARLIE video!
I'm gonna miss coming to have coffee and going to dinner with you when I come home to visit.
Thank You for all the love you showed me and my family. Thank you for the influence you were to all of us.
We are all gonna miss you so much.
We love you and we will see you soon.
