Barbara A. Markle Obituary

Barbara A. Markle a lifetime resident of the area died peacefully on January 15, 2024.  She was 76.


The daughter of the late Charles and Lucille Clarke, she was born on December 31, 1947 in Port Jervis, NY.


She was the longtime proprietor of Markle’s Handy Corner Store. Those from the area might also know Barbara from the time she spent working at the Milford Diner and Len & Joe's Pizzeria.  Barbara was an avid dirt track racing fan who could be found on Saturday nights at the Orange County Fair Speedway.


In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased in life by her husband Raymond F. Markle Jr. and her sisters Nancy Clarke and Joan McCullough.


Beloved mother of Kimberly Markle of Port Jervis and Tammy Gregory of Cheyenne, WY.  Cherished grandmother of Kyle and Kayla Gregory. Great grandmother of Johnathon, Raymond, Shayla, Brysen and Jaxon.


A celebration of life will be held at the Sparrowbush Fire Department on May 18th from 1:00PM to 5:00PM.  Cremation took place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford PA.
