Mom,
You will be missed and always remembered for the love you showed to all your family. It was so clear of the special love you had for
Skip, Karen, Kathy, and myself, your children. We always felt that love from you.
There are so many memories that I will cherish about you. You taught me many lessons at a young age. I remember the day I hid in the garage and didn’t get on the school bus. I think I was in kindergarten and you found me. I remember that night you had me talk to a police officer about what I did. Boy, that nipped that in the bud; I never skipped a day of school again. Many memories of summer trips to Virginia staying with Grandma, sitting on her porch, and walking down the street to get ice cream. Visiting Uncle Sonny and Aunt Brenda, and all the cousins. Going fishing on Uncle Sonny’s boat. Trips to the country meeting all the extended family. Historical sites throughout Virginia. Can’t forget those trips to Bush Gardens and Kings Dominion. We had fun!
As the years passed it was great to have you there for the special events. High School graduation, joining the Marine Corps, getting married. It was nice that I could see the proud look you had during those times. Then, as your grandchildren came it was always a blessing to see the love and happiness they brought you. As time went on it became difficult for you to get around. I will never forget how your face would light up when I would walk into the room.
Mom, you will always be in my heart and I will miss you always.
With all my Love,
Your Son,
Danny
