Mary, I was so saddened to read your Facebook message and hear of your mom’s passing. As I read the hundreds of condolence messages it warms my heart to know how Liz was truly loved by all. She was a very special person whose gifts of love and humor, strength and intelligence touched so many.
The “Bedford” crew was a special family. The memories of our times sitting in her little office, sharing stories and laughing together will always bring a smile. After retirement, seeing your mom in Shoprite, brought back our years together and the times we shared. We would talk about you and her Liam and my twin granddaughters, the joys of our lives. I know she’ll be deeply missed by you all. May your memories be a blessing.
Sending condolences to you, Rob and Duane from us both.
♥️ Rich & Robin

Liz was one of the most amazing women I knew. She had the kindest soul and was always there for you. I am fortunate to have been a part of her life for my entire life. She was my second mom growing up. Always letting me and Mary have sleep overs even though we only lived across the street. She always made me feel like family and then welcomed Ciera just the same. We will cherish our memories of you forever.

So heartbreaking to hear of Aunt Liz’s passing. Even though we live miles apart she always checked in on us and supported us in dealing with Mom’s Alzheimer’s. (I never would have imagined losing her before our Mom as her zest for life was palpable.)
I will very much miss her Facebook posts as they were our link to the east-coast Kendall contingency. Her absolute adoration of Liam was heartwarming and life affirming. This must be such a difficult loss to everyone fortunate enough to have been in her circle, but especially to Liam.
One of my favorite childhood memories with Aunt Liz was from a trip we took to New York. I remember sleeping on the fold out couch (very exciting for a kid, lol) and watching Mr. Ed and learning the lyrics to ‘The One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying Purple Eater. It’s odd the things that stick in your memory:)
Rest easy, Aunt Liz. It brings me comfort knowing we have someone so special watching out for us all from above. ~ The Montana Kendalls ❤️

It is with deep sadness to have heard of the passing of Liz. We worked in the same office for over 30 years. Duane, Mary, Rob, I know no words can offer total comfort but in her life beyond her total devotion to you, take some comfort in knowing that to countless school staff, she was. “Momma Liz” who would seek her out for advice, counsel, and just heart-felt laughter and companionship. She touched so many lives which are very special and leave an enduring legacy.

I’ve known Liz since kindergarten at Sullivan Avenue Elementary and have always considered her a dear friend. It was she who first called my granddaughters “dolls”, and I told her I would forever refer to them as my Grand Dolls. We texted about the joy of Liam’s birth and how her life would never be the same. She always managed to make it to town when I visited Port, greeting me with her beautiful smile and a big hug. I’ll miss your FB comments, emails and texts, my dear friend.

Duane, Rob, Mary, Anthony and Liam...Your adored Liz, Mom, and Grandma left this earth too soon. Everyone loved Liz Kendall! Liz was my role model for being a loving, caring, giving, devoted wife and mom and fortunately we had some time together to share our awe about being a grandmother. The love she had for each of you and all of you and the love you shared with her cannot be measured. I am sure you will feel her love continue to surround each and all of you and hopefully this will bring you some comfort as you go on without her physically in your lives on earth. Liz glowed with goodness and kindness and she was my role model for seeking out and embracing the positive qualities in others. Liz was the Sunshine in everyone's lives and especially in the MCSD. I will hold the warmth of my memories of the one and only Liz Kendall, smiling, in my heart. Lynn Fogarty and Family

Liz was an integral part of our Oneonta group when we got together every year. I will miss her good sense of humor and her infectious laugh. We spent our college years (50+ years ago!!) together and the fact we have all stayed in touch over the years has been wonderful! Liz was always our "tech" person when it came to picture taking and sending photos to everyone. One fond memory I have is at one of our recent gatherings we all started asking Siri silly questions and laughing all about her answers! Fun times.
We shall miss her smile and warmth. I pray for family and friends to find peace and healing.

I’ll truly cherish the fond memories I have of my friendship with Liz. We worked together at PPS for only a short time, but we had a lifetime friendship. I gave my daughter her middle name from my friend Elizabeth because she was such a kind and loving soul. I send my deepest condolences to all of her family and friends. May god hold her close like she did to all she left behind. Until we meet again my friend, rest in peace.
