Frank Getz, 65, of Hawley PA (formally of Barryville, NY) passed away peacefully with the love of his life, Martha, by his side on December 5, 2023.   Frank was born on July 2,1958 to the late Elmer and Jane Putnam Getz. Frank was a graduate of Eldred Central School. A member of Fosterdale Methodist Church. A member of the Yulan Fire Department, ex Captain of the Fire Police for Shohola Township Volunteer Fire and Rescue, and the American Legion Ambulance Corp. Of all things Frank did throughout his life, he will be remembered most for being “Santa Claus”. He had a love for Christmas and making children smile and adults laugh. Frank was a kind and gentle man. He was an angel among us that will not be forgotten. He is survived by the love of his life, Martha Valentine. His very close friend/sister, Cathy Kostelak. His cousins Marilyn Martin of Greeley PA, Carl and Nancy Getz of Utica, Frank Schwartz of Glen Spey as well as many other family members. He is also survived by his friends of 60 years Dale and Alan Wingert and many, many other friends. We would like to thank everyone for all the support we received through go fund me, Facebook, as well as all the messages of love and concern. It has all been greatly appreciated. We are sure he loved each and every one of you.

A Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday 12/16 from 10AM to 12Noon at the KNIGHT- AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis NY 12771.  A Memorial Service will then follow at 12Noon at the Funeral Home.  A final committal will take place in the family plot at Montoza Cemetery, Barryville, NY.
