Obituary of Judith F. Margarum

Judith F. Margarum “Judy” a lifelong resident of Port Jervis died on November 28, 2023 surrounded by her family.  She was 84.

 

The daughter of the late Edward & Geraldine Helt, she was born on March 8, 1939 in Port Jervis.

 

Judy was a devoted employee of Kolmar Labs having spent a career and retiring from there.  Be it her time spent at Kolmar, her love for birds, those that knew Judy best could tell you her family was her true love and devotion.  She lived for the love of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, leaving this world surrounded by her family warmed her soul.

 

In addition to her parents she was predeceased in life by the love of her life Chuck Margarum and her daughter Terry Lee Margarum.

 

Judy is survived by her son Tracy Margarum with his wife Michelle of Port Jervis and Cheryl Kolvenbach with her husband Gregory of Glen Spey.  Grandmother of NYS Trooper Lt. William J. Colley, Tracy Margarum (Michelle), PA Trooper Sean Colley (Kristin), Anthony Margarum, NYS Trooper Hunter Kolvenbach, Braelyn Kolvenbach & Amanda Elliott (Max).  Great grandmother of Anthony, Christopher, Ainsleigh & Sophia.  Dear sister of Sally Ostrom & Edward “Teddy” Helt.

 

Visitation Sunday 12/3 from 4 to 7:00PM at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis NY 12771.  Funeral service 7:00PM at the Funeral Home.  Cremation to follow MacLennan Hall Crematorium.  Following cremation Judy will be interred in the family plot, Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras.
