Obituary of Glendolyn O. VanEtten

Glendolyn “Glen” O. Van Etten, a lifelong resident of the area, died on November 14, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis, NY.  She was 87.

The daughter of the late Alice Littell and Albert DeFazio, Glen was born on February 11, 1936, in Port Jervis, NY.

Glen devoted 30 years to her business "Glen's Rag Dolls" in Matamoras, PA where she spent her time showing, breeding, and selling "Rag Doll" cats. Almost every show entered earned her First Place showings and her love for her cats was evident.

Predeceased by her loving husband, Alfred Van Etten, she is survived by her daughters, Glenda Williams and her husband William of Delhi, NY; Jerilyn DeJernett and husband Steven of Sanger, TX; and Candi Van Etten of Port Jervis. Dear Grandmother to Lisa, Corby, Brodie, Gregory, and Alicia. Great Grandmother to six Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandmother to four.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 16th from 11 to 12:00pm at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home, 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis, NY.  Following the visitation, a 12:30pm Funeral Service and Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Jervis, NY.
