William "Dougie" Smith Obituary

William D. Smith "Dougie" a lifelong resident of Port Jervis died on October 26, 2023 at Garnett Medical Center.  He was 81. 


Dougie was born in Port Jervis on February 2, 1942.  He worked for many years at C & D Battery and other local factories in the area.  Most of all he loved his position at Burger King working as their maintenace man.  


In addition to his parents he was predeceased in life by his wife Edith Smith and son Julius Smith. 


Beloved father of Pearl Gunderman of Port Jervis and William "Billy" Smith of Washingtonville.  Dougie was a grandfather & great grandfather. 


Cremation will be private, MacLennan Hall Crematorium.
