Obituary of Mary Ann P. Hamilton

Mary Ann P. Hamilton passed away peacefully on October 6, 2023 at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Matamoras, PA surrounded by loved ones.

 

Mary loved Fashion – working at Our Wish in Milford, PA, then opening up Mary’s Clothes Connection in Port Jervis, NY. She then moved on into sales in Radio, which was a great accomplishment of hers. She started in Port Jervis, NY, moved to Florida, NY, ending up in Pompton Lakes, NJ which led to her retirement in 2013.

 

She continued her love for Retail working part-time at local clothing stores in Warwick, NY, which is where she resided until 2018, when she moved to Matamoras, PA to be closer to her family.

 

Mary was a member of the Port Jervis Rotary Club, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and President of the Pompton Lakes Rotary Club.

 

Mary loved her plants, to read a good book, travel, and always loved her music. She was always willing to help out and lend a helping hand in her community, no matter where she lived. She was a wonderful lady, mom, and friend and will be greatly missed.

 

She is survived by her brother, Frank of Pleasanton, CA, Daughters, Sue Creegan (Mike) of Forestburgh, NY, Diahn Aeberli of Franklin, NJ, and her Son, James E. Hamilton, Jr. (Jill) of Matamoras, PA; Grandchildren Kelse, Cody, Ethan, Teylor, Aaren, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; her dear good friend Mark Tatro of Castleton, NY; and can’t forget her fur babies, October, Buddy, and Thomas which were always by her side.

 

Per her wishes, there will be no viewing, and cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local animal shelter of your choice.
