Obituary of Ludvik Pokorny

Ludvik Pokorny, age 69, of Cuddebackville, NY passed away on October 12, 2021 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. He was born on August 19, 1952 in Brno, Czech Republic, the son of Ludvik and Dobromila Bartosova Pokorny. Ludvik emigrated to the United States in his late teens, and spent the remainder of his life here working as a builder and craftsman. Friends and family will remember him as a devoted father, an esoteric artist, and a true visionary. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jennie Rodriguez Pokorny; sons Manuel Ayala of Long Island, NY, and Daniel Pokorny and his wife Mayde of Cuddebackville; his daughter Dobromila Pokorny of Beijing, China; and his brother Stanza Pokorny of Czech Republic. Ludvik was pre-deceased by his brother, Jura Pokorny. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 20, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.
