Obituary of Craig John Caliciotti

Craig John Caliciotti of Haverstraw died peacefully on June 29, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family and friends.  He was 57.

The son of Victor and the late Judith Caliciotti, he was born February 14, 1966 in Port Jervis, NY.

Craig and his wife Jodi lived in the Tri State region prior to moving to Rockland County and raising their family together.  He had a prior career in the Meat Industry before going on to fulfill his dream of helping people as an accomplished Hypnotherapist.  His practice Hypnosis Relief in Rockland was part of his legacy but his family is what he would wish to be remembered for.  A day, weekend trip or a vacation with his family and friends is what he lived for. 

Five and a half years ago when he was diagnosed with cancer, it was his love for his family that fueled his positive outlook on beating the disease.  Those around him admired his positivity and outlook to what he was facing.  Craig made a promise to his daughter that he would walk her down the isle and he did just that on Father’s Day in the Chapel of Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.  Craig slipped away peacefully on the eve of her actually ceremony on June 29^th but his love and spirit was present and felt amongst all those at the wedding. 

In addition to Craig’s mother he was predeceased in life by his father in law John “Jack” Heckman. 

Beloved husband of Jodi Heckman Caliciotti.  Devoted father of Corey Caliciotti, Dr. Cassandra Connell with her husband Nicholas and Connor Caliciotti.  Dear son of Victor Caliciotti with his companion Helen Williams.  Brother of Chris Caliciotti his wife Kelly.  Son in law of Roberta “Bootsie” Heckman.  Brother in law of John Heckman his wife Barbara and Joseph Heckman his wife Crissy.  Uncle of Morgan, Megan, Carter, Colin, Anthony, Nathan and Grant.  He was a great uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation Wednesday 7/5 from 3 to 8:00PM at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home, 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis NY 12771.  Last Leave Thursday 7/6 9:00AM from the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass 10AM St. Joseph’s RC Church, Matamoras.  Interment to follow Pine Hill Cemetery Sparrowbush.
