Obituary of Fred Shockey

Fred Shockey died suddenly on July 1, 2023.  He was 74. 

The son of the late Glenn & Margaret Shockey, he was born October 18, 1948 in Kansas.  

A proud unapologetic American, Fred served our Country with the US Air Force.  He had a true entrepreneurial spirit having been a successful small business owner.  An avid outdoorsman and lover of woodlands he only recently made Lords Valley, PA home with his wife Alice.  His family will always remember him for his great sense of humor, his ability to make everyone feel at home but more so as the father and grandfather that made Fred so loved by them.  

Beloved husband of Alice Behrens Shockey.  Father of Jennifer Shockey, William Shockey, George Schwend and Nikki Katcher.  Dear brother of Marci Krause and John Shockey.  Grandfather of Albert, Elana & Nickolas Mancillas,  Lexi, Bethany, Kieshawn, Elise & Isaiah Shockey and Rhyan & Jordyn Katcher.  He will be missed by his neices, nephews and friends. 

Donations may be made in Fred's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Services are private.  Cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford.
