Obituary of Antoinette F. Carroll

Please share a memory of Antoinette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Antoinette "Toni" Carroll (Mikulski), a pillar of her family and community, passed away on
Monday, May 29, 2023. With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to a
remarkable woman whose presence touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born on December 6, 1925 in Pine Island, NY, to Frank and Tekla Mikulski. Her enthusiasm for
life and snapping wit could brighten the darkest of days and her strong determination and
unwavering faith led her past any of life's challenges.

One of five siblings, she long celebrated her Polish-American upbringing on the Black Dirt farms
even after trading that life to join her husband Jack as proprietors of Port Jervis' Hotel Carroll.
She also remained active in her community for many years with the Catholic Daughters of the
Americas - Port Jervis, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and as a member of the Tri-State
Naval Ship.

Toni is predeceased by her beloved husband John "Jack" Carroll, her eldest son John and her
daughter-in-law Pam.

She dedicated herself to her family, playing an integral role as a beloved grandmother and
great-grandmother. Along with her boundless love, she was also known for her prowess in the
kitchen, whipping up chocolate cake, banana bread, and her grandson's favorite cheesecake.
While we mourn the loss of Toni, let us also celebrate the remarkable life she led and the
profound impact she had on each of us. Her legacy of love, compassion, and determination will
forever guide us as we navigate the paths of our own lives.

She is survived by her brother Frank Mikulski, her daughter Nancy Keeler and husband Gary,
her son Paul, five grandchildren, Austin and his wife Colleen, Erin, Meghan and her husband
Michael, Lauren and her husband Ian, and Lindsay and Robert, as well as four
great-grandchildren, Shayna, Lia, Elena, & Noah and a host of extended family members and
dear friends who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we bid farewell, let us take solace in the knowledge that she has reunited with loved ones
who have gone before her. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy will endure
and her love will forever remain in our hearts.
