Elke and family I am sorry for your loss. Rich loved you all so very much. When I think of Rich, he brings a great big smile to my face as I remember all the good times we had when Elke, Rich, and Emma would stop by NC to visit with Staci and I on either their way to or from Florida. Yes, he brought his metal detector and we would have fun finding things. He found many arrows I lost 3-4 years prior and many other things. We both enjoyed the hunt and stories of lost treasures in Abbots Creek near by. We would stay up late sometimes until 3-4 am laughing about old times until our backs were hurting. One night we almost talked our selves into digging our way up the neighborhood late at night looking for lost abbots creek treasure but Staci and Elke convinced us that it was a bad idea. I still have a gold pan he gave me on one of his trips. Deep conversations were always about the love he had for Elke and his children and he was so proud of each of his kids. He loved you all more than you know. Elke would always cook us a real authentic Germany dinner with all her favorite dishes…it was so much fun. Rich you will be missed my friend but I know one day our paths will cross again. May God bless you and your family be strong.
