Obituary of Edwin J. Collis Jr.

Edwin J. Collis Jr a longtime resident of the area died on February 10, 2023 at Achieve Nursing & Rehab, Liberty.  He was 88. 

The son of the late Edwin J. Collis Sr and Arlene Bowman Collis he was born February 28, 1935 in Eldred.  

Edwin worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator with Honywell Quarry, Syracuse.  On July 12, 1997 Edwin was baptized as a Jehovah Witness.  He and his late wife would serve Jehovah faithfuly till death.

In addition to his parents Edwin was predeceased in life by his beloved wife Virginia H. Collis, sister in law Nancy German and nephew David Barnes.  

Survived by his brother in law Donald German of Eldred and 2 nephews.
