James A. Geer of Leesburg, FL and a former longtime resident of the area died on December 27, 2022 at home with his family by his side.  He was 73. 

The son of the late Lorraine Geer, he was born on November 8, 1949 in Port Jervis, NY. 

Jim was a graduate of Minisink Valley High School where he excelled in wrestling and would go on to win the championship.  He proudly served our Country in the US Navy. 

Survived by his wife Karen at home.  Daughter Jessica Lucas of Murfreesboro, TN.  Brother of Kenneth Geer of Dingsman Ferry, PA, Joanne Rivera of Westbrookville and Judy Wood of Monticello. Stepfather of Lauren Palermo, Jessica Phelts and Jason Hamilton.  Grandfather of Aiden & Ethan  Lucas.  Uncle to several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his mother Jim was predeceased in life by his grandmother Edith San Pietro.  In addition to his mother Jim was predeceased in life by his brother Robert Geer and sister Diane Runyon.
