Obituary of Raymond J. Meyer

Raymond J. Meyer of Eldred died peacefully at home on December 8, 2022.  He was 79. 

The son of the late Raymond C and Marie Rose (DeFalco) Meyer he was born February 15, 1943 in Orange, NJ.  

On July 4, 1964 Ray married the love of his life Mary Elizabeth Lynch in Newark, NJ.  They would settle in Eldred to start a life and raise a family together soon after.  Mary stated "God sent me a partner and friend for all these years and now he has taken him back.  We love you dad!" 

Ray started his career as a bus driver in Newark NJ in the 1960's.  He would later settle in Eldred where he was the proprietor of Ray's Autobody Shop.  After retiring from the autobody shop he would later find himself as a heavy equipment operator / truck driver thanks to his dear friend the late Bill McBride.  

In addition to his parents Ray was predeceased in life by his two sisters Alda Petri and Mary Ann Early.  

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary E. Meyer at home.  Devoted father of Raymond J. Meyer Jr, Robert V. Meyer and Christopher P. Meyer.  Dear brother of William Schooley and Marie Hoffman.  

Cremation will be private and burial will take place at a later time in the family plot.
