Obituary of Lee J. Cuddeback

Leland “Lee” J. Cuddeback passed away on October 14, 2022 after a short illness. He was 85.  Born on September 23, 1937 to the late William Cuddeback and Marie Felter Cuddeback in Sparrow Bush, NY.

Lee was retired from the railroad where he was an electrician. He then opened up a small neighborhood store Sam and Mabel’s in West End where he sold everything from bait, guns, ammunition and groceries. He was a jack of all trades and master of all. If you needed something fixed the right way you called Lee and he was happy to help. 

He was former chief of the Sparrow Bush Fire Department and a lifetime member. He was also a member of the Red Rock Sportsmen’s Club in Huguenot. Lee was an avid gun enthusiast and he loved the casinos and bingo in Florida when he moved to Sebring in 2012. 

In addition to his parents Lee was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Martha, and his brother Reese. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria, brother Daniel, daughters Sandy, Marty, granddaughter Janel Keys, nieces, nephews and many beloved friends. 

 A celebration of life will take place at 2:00PM on Saturday November 12th at the Red Rock Sportsman Club, 506 Peenpack Trail Sparrowbush, NY.  Burial in the family plot will take place 11:30AM Tuesday November 15th at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, all are welcome.
