Obituary of Robert Rogers

Robert Rogers of Matamoras died September 5, 2022 at Bon Secours Community Hospital.  He was 85. 

The son of the late Kenneth and Janette Rogers he was born April 18, 1937 in New Jersey. 

Robert proudly served our Country with the US Air Force.  He was the former dedicated employee of Stewart Air Force Base, The West Point Military Accademy and Picatinny Arsenal.  Upon his retirement when most would look forward to doing less, he worked at the Matamoras Post Office for 20 years.  Robert was a friend to all and knew no strangers.

Devoted husband of Olive Rogers for 61 years at home.  Beloved father of Kathy Parizo of Ocoee FL, Jeanne Ginnell with her husband Jim of Mechanicsville VA, Robert Rogers Jr. of Swoyerville PA and the late Lori Calestini with her husband Ray surviving in Newton NJ.  Grandfather of James Ginnell, Sinead Ginnell-Merrill, Alex Parizo, Alysa Calestini and Conor Ginnell.  Great grandfather of Finn Merrill.  Dear brother of Arlene VanHouzen.
