Donald Hogencamp Obituary

Donald Hogencamp, age 80, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. He was born on April 27, 1941 in Suffern, New York, the son of Horace and Etta Mae Pitt Hogencamp. Donald proudly served our country from 1959 to 1963 with the US Marine Corp. He was a member and past Captain of the Tri-State Naval Ship #7241 in Port Jervis. Don retired as a construction worker with Local #754 Union in Nanuet, New York. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, always enjoying the great outdoors. Donald married Beverly Moulton Hogencamp who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Donald Hogencamp and his wife Rhonda, and three daughters; Bambi Valentia and her husband Michael, Donna Hogencamp and her husband Vince VanHorn, and Tammy Filardi and her husband James, his brother, Clarence, his beloved six grandchildren; Nicole, Nicholas, Tyler, Alexander, Matthew, and Julia, his great grandson, Atlas, and several nieces and nephews. Donald was pre-deceased by two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Rev. Diane Sommers will officiate. Interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the D.A.V., PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45250 or to the Port Jervis-Deerpark Humane Society, Route 209, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
