Adelaide Charlotte Field “Addie” passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at Bon Secours Hospital. She was 91. Daughter of late Wilhelm & Anna Mertens, she was born February 18, 1931 in Hoboken, NJ. Adelaide was married to the love of her life John Perkins Field who predeceased her from 1959-1979. They moved to West Orange, NJ until 1968 and then moved to Fairfield, NJ where they raised their three girls. In recent years, Addie moved to Port Jervis, NY. Addie worked as a administrative assistant at Windmill Health Products for 25 years until she retired in 2009. She enjoyed craft shows, festivals, apple picking, baking, tea, traveling, gardening, movies, and being around family. Addie was always ready to lend a helping hand, and was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Addie was the best wife, mother, and grandmother that anyone could hope to have. She was kind to everyone she met and was loved by all. Survivors include her three daughters, Debra Muraczewski along with her husband Mark of Toms River, NJ, Diane “Field” Penkoski of Roseland, NJ, & Cheryl Teets with her husband John of Port Jervis, NY. Loving grandmother of RJ & his wife Amanda, Christopher, Kirsten, Kevin & his wife Kristiana, & Alex. A graveside service will take place on Friday June 3rd at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936 at 11:30AM. Family, friends and guests are asked to meet at the main office where the procession will form by 11:15AM.
