Obituary of Robert J. Ackerley

Robert J. Ackerley age 42 of Apopka, FL passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in Meriden, CT. He was born on November 2, 1979 in Port Jervis, NY. Rob worked as an Aerial Foreman for KGP, Company in Fairbault, MN. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Ackerley of Apopka, FL; mother Shawleen Gervais and step-father Ernest Gervais. Ernie was solely responsible for teaching Rob everything he needed to know to live out his career as a successful lineman. Rob chershied his time and memories with Ernie the most. He is also survived by his father Kenneth Ackerley; two daughters: Mackenzie Hicks of Apopka, FL, and Jade Banach of Matamoras, PA; son Robert D. Ackerley of Port Jervis, NY; step-son Hayden Conklin of Port Jervis, NY; sister Raven Burbridge and husband Benjamin of Matamoras, PA; nephew Benjamin Blue Burbridge; nieces: Brittany and Kiersten Gervais of Matamoras, PA; several siblings, Aunts, and Uncles. Rob and his wife Rebecca traveled many years all over the country for his career. He enjoyed working all over the place and experiencing new places and adventures everyday. Rob was always the top #1 lineman everywhere he went. He was a beast at his job, he called himself Captain Cable.Rob was a loving, caring, and devoted husband and dog Dad to his favorite baby girl Shelby and all of his other 5 dogs. Outside of work his wife and dogs were his whole world. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA.org in memory of Rob.
