Obituary of Jean E. Brown

Jean E. Brown, age 89, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, passed away August 4, 2021 in Goshen, NY. She was born on April 25, 1932 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of Dayton and Della Aber Kent. Jean was member of the First Presbyterian Church, Port Jervis. Jean and her late husband Ken, were active members of the Golden Seniors and Friendly Seniors of Sparrowbush, and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Matamoras Fire Dept. Above all, spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, gave her the greatest joy. Jean married Kenneth R. Brown on October 1, 1950 and celebrated 61 years of marriage. He pre-deceased her in 2012. She is survived by her two sons; Larry Brown and his wife Gail of Norristown, PA, Keith Brown and his wife Ann Marie of Port Jervis, her daughter, Tammy Mitchell of Port Jervis, her brother, Lawrence Kent and his wife Janice of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her beloved grandchildren; Greg, Meghan, Jamie, Ryan, Lauren, Shawn, Mackenzie and Austin, her great grandchildren; Ava, Olivia, Sienna and Joe, several nieces and nephews. Jean was pre-deceased by her nine sisters and brothers. Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Friday, August 27, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Rev.
