Robert S. Jahn, 69, of Sparrowbush, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Born on January 8, 1957, in Yonkers, NY, Robert was the son of Sue Lyons Morgan and the late Robert "Bob" Jahn. At 19, he served briefly in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.

It was as a young man that Robert’s life found its true direction — he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and from that day forward his faith came first in everything he did. He was a member of the New Life Christian Fellowship in Matamoras, and preaching the Word was his number one passion. His faith wasn’t something he kept on a shelf for Sundays; it was who he was, and he shared it freely with anyone who would listen. He was involved in the prison ministry and deliverance ministry, and took two mission trips to India, where he met and preached with Pastor John Pandu, with whom he became lifelong friends. Together, they preached to thousands, and many were saved and baptized in Christ.

Robert was a working man through and through. He was the owner of Lasting Impressions Painting, his own painting company, proudly serving customers all across the Tri-State area. Painting was his craft and art, and he took great pride in his work. Those who knew him will tell you the same things: he was a hard worker with a fantastic work ethic, a strong man, and a good provider for his family. He had a hard shell but was soft on the inside — a generous man who helped many with his time, energy, and finances.

In 1985, Robert married his wife, Deborah, and together they built a life and raised their son. Above all else, he was a loving father.

Robert enjoyed fishing with his dad — salmon fishing upstate, and deep sea fishing at the Jersey Shore. He also picked up the hobby of magic, sharing tricks with students at New Life Day School and with kids at Zechariah’s birthday parties. Robert loved to bowl and was a team bowler at Memory Lanes in Port Jervis.

Robert is survived by his wife, Deborah M. (Rundle) Jahn; his son, Zechariah Jahn; his mother, Sue Lyons Morgan; his sisters, Deborah L. Jahn and Donna Harmon; his stepsisters, Gina Taggart - Wells and Tina Kiefer; his niece, Rachael Malionek (Peter), and several other nieces and nephews; his great-nephew Nathanael and great-niece Rebecca Malionek; and his best buddy, Jamie Thornton.

Robert was predeceased by his father, Robert (Bob) Jahn, and Julianne Morgan Seaton.  

A memorial service will be held 1:30PM Sunday August 16th at the New Life Christian Fellowship 205 Ave G Matamoras, PA 18336.  All are welcome to visit the family from 12:30PM at the church and to pay respects of just have a coffee, bagel or dessert prior to celebrating Robert's life.
