Alice Ann Lapriore Obituary
Alice Ann Lapriore, 98, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Highland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, NY.
Born on March 30, 1928, in Pine Island, NY, Alice was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Banach.
On May 19, 1951, at Saint Stanislaus Church in Pine Island, NY, Alice married the love of her life, Santino Lapriore, that would carry them through many beautiful years together.
Alice spent her working years as a skilled seamstress at Andmore Swimwear, where her steady hands and meticulous craftsmanship were a quiet reflection of the care she brought to everything she did.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Alice was an active and beloved member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Port Jervis, where her devotion and generosity touched the lives of many. She faithfully worked Bingo at St. Mary's for years, and was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas — JCDA Court Madonna #114 — and the Mount Carmel Society.
Alice is survived by her loving children, Joseph P. Lapriore and his wife Victoria, William A. Lapriore, and Steven S. Lapriore Sr. and his wife Judith. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer Carpenter, Lauren Lapriore, Jordon Lapriore, Greg Lapriore, Erica DiClementi and her husband Mike, Steven Lapriore Jr., and Saundra Striharsky and her husband Damian. She was the proud great-grandmother of Cyndel, Hailey, Ian, Santino, Vivienne, and Hudson, who brought her endless joy. Alice is also survived by her sister, Mary Jo Chandler; her sister-in-law, Beverly Walker; and by many loving nieces and nephews.
Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband, Santino Lapriore; her brothers, Joseph Banach Jr. and Vincent Banach; her sisters, Cecilia Rhoades, Teresa Edwards, Elizabeth Gieb, and Caroline Banach; and her dear John and Theophila Dombrowski.
