Andrew J. Seymour, 56, of Otisville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Garnet Health Medical Center.

Born on September 7, 1969, in Middletown, NY, Andrew was the beloved son of James E. Seymour and the late Theresa Degrudhy.

A dedicated and dependable employee, Andrew spent 17 years working at Walmart in Westfall, PA, where his quiet work ethic and steady presence earned him the friendship and respect of his coworkers.

A man of imagination and gentle enthusiasms, Andrew found great joy in the worlds that captured his heart — he was a devoted fan of Star Trek and an avid lover of anime, pastimes that brought him countless hours of happiness and connection.

Andrew's quiet generosity was perhaps his most defining quality. There is a story his father will always treasure: one day while collecting carts in the parking lot with a fellow Walmart coworker, Andrew noticed that the young man's shoes were worn through with holes. Without a moment's hesitation and without fanfare, Andrew went out and bought him a brand-new pair of shoes. That was simply who he was — a man who saw a need and quietly met it. In his final, most selfless act, Andrew gave the gift of life as an organ donor, helping at least eight people through his generosity. His legacy of kindness lives on in the lives he touched and the lives he saved.

Andrew is survived by his loving father, James E. Seymour; his aunts and uncles, Kenneth Seymour, Kathy Basel, Laura Lust, Timothy Seymour, and Peter Seymour; his many cherished cousins; and by his dear friends and coworkers from the Walmart family, who held a special place in his life.

In addition to his mother, Andrew was predeceased in life by his uncle, Vincent T. Seymour.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church in Otisville, NY. Burial will follow at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Cemetery, Otisville, NY.
