Loretta F. Odgers, of Matamoras, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. She was 93 years old.

The daughter of the late Charles and Justina Fischer, she was born on March 7, 1933 in Queens.

Loretta built her career as an Operator and Operator Instructor with GTE — General Telephone Company — in Middletown, NY, retiring after many years of service. She was a practicing Catholic and longtime member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Pond Eddy.

Known for her uplifting personality and active spirit, Loretta loved organizing trips with AARP Seniors and treasured time spent with her close friends. She enjoyed playing cards and Mahjong, and could possibly be found trying her luck at a casino now and then. Above all, she adored her family, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Loretta was predeceased by her first husband, Louis Parise; her second husband, Robert Odgers; her son, Carl Parise; her daughter, Gina Marie Milroy; and her brother, Charles T. Fischer.

Loretta is survived by her loving sons: Paul Fischer and his wife Deborah; Robert Parise and his wife Donna; and Albert Mark and his wife Patricia. Her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her sister, Barbara Rudnik.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771. A service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Cemetery, Eldred, NY.
