Marc W. Suffern II, of Greenville, NY, passed away on April 27, 2026 in Garnett Medical Center. He was 82 years old.

The son of the late Marc W. Suffern and Betty Jardine Suffern, he was born on July 3, 1943 in Manhattan, NY. 

Marc built a long and distinguished legal career spanning nearly five decades, working as an attorney with the EPA before establishing his own solo practice. He served the legal profession faithfully from 1968 until 2015.

A man who lived life to the fullest until the end, Marc had a passion for the outdoors and an adventurous spirit. He enjoyed horseback riding, fox hunting, skiing, and travel — pursuits of the professed quintessential bachelor, he lived life his way.

Marc is survived by his brother Kevin Suffern of Hannibal, MO, and his cousin Stephen Suffern.

Marc was predeceased by his mother, Betty Jardine Suffern, and his father, Marc William Suffern.
