Ms. Kaye Beverly Conklin of Huguenot NY, a life long resident of the area died on April

3, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old.

The daughter of the late Lewis H. Smith and Elinor Sniffen-Smith, she was born

September 27, 1947, in Port Jervis New York.

Kaye was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in her home and family. She

always made sure everyone was taken care of first. Kaye also worked at various places

through out the years Little Tots, Mercy Hospital and Kolmar Labs. People who knew

her will remember a quiet person who only spoke her mind when necessary.

Kaye was a home body who liked the simple things in life. In between taking care of her

family she loved to read books with a cup of tea. She liked quiet while watching her

favorite Hallmark Channel shows. She would crochet, sewing clothes for children. She

also enjoyed word searches, gardening, canning, puzzles and a good competitive game

of cards.

She is survived by her beloved children: Vickie and Grant Schafer, Kim and Steve

Francois, Karen and Fred Winstedt. Grandchildren: Celeste, Grant Michael, Tyler,

Benjamin, Juliana and Amber. Great Grandchildren: Nova Lee and Iliana. She also

leaves behind her sister Patrica Wright.

Kaye was predeceased by her loving husband Stanley Conklin in 2025. They married in

1965 and once again are together.

She was predeceased in life by her parents, Lewis H. Smith and Elinor Sniffen-Smith

and her siblings: Joan Stone, Lewis Smith, Phyllis Clark and Randy Smith.

There will be no visitation, a celebration of life will be held, later at the convenience of

the family.
