Marilyn Irene Bruce of Milford, passed away on February 22, 2026 at Garnet Health Medical Center.  She was 80 years old.

The daughter of the late Marie and Wesley Dolson, she was born on December 21, 1945 in Queens, NY. 

Marilyn graduated cum laude from Fordham University. She went on to build a meaningful career as a Social Worker for the City of New York, dedicating many years of service before retiring from the Department for the Aging.

Her husband, David, described her as a very intelligent woman whose insight and compassion guided both her professional and personal life. In retirement, Marilyn and David enjoyed their time together in Milford, cherishing the quieter pace and the life they built side by side

In addition to her parents Marilyn was predeceased in life by her first husband Douglas Bruce and her brothers Wesley & Michael Dolson.  

Beloved wife of David Collins. Dear sister of Laura Silvestri.  Daughters of her husband Yevette Sherman and Erin Collins along with their children Taylor, Dominique and Chloe. Fond cousin of Melissa Fimognari.
