Tammy Renee Santiago Obituary

Tammy Renee Santiago died on February 16, 2026 at Westchester Medical Center, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was 64 years old.

The daughter of the late Doris Ann and Julius C. Leonard, she was born on October 2, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Tammy was a dedicated mother and the true matriarch of her family. She was their rock, giving whatever she could, whenever she could. She didn’t have much, but she made the very best of what she had for the people she loved. If someone needed a place to stay or a warm meal, Tammy had room and a plate ready.

She loved to cook and took pride in feeding her family — making sure no one left her home hungry. Tammy loved unconditionally and accepted people exactly as they were, without judgment. She believed in showing up for others, in small everyday ways, and that’s how she will be remembered — for her strength, her generosity, and the steady love she gave so freely.

In addition to her parents Tammy was predeceased in life by her son Jesus Santiago and her siblings Cynthia Nay, Daniel Leonard and Lawrence Leonard.

Devoted mother of Antonio Santiago, Melisa Santiago (Sean Flores), Belinda Santiago and Tammy Lee Santiago.  Beloved grandmother of Antonio J. Santiago, Emily Santiago, Jezibele Kinne, Lilyana Santiago, Dharma VanLew, Riley VanLew, Johanna Rake, Mia Flores, Mariah Santiago, Arabella Santiago, Brooklyn Santiago, Mikah Leake, Michaela Manning and Liam Manning.  Adoring great grandmother of Leilani, Jaiyana and Kyzen.  Loved life companion of Charles Nay.  Dear sister of Julius C. Leonard Jr and Talmadge Leonard (Bobbie).  Tammy was an aunt and great aunt who will be missed. We would be remiss not to mention Tammy's fur babies Harry & Duke.

A visitation will take place on Saturday 2/21 from 1 to 4:00PM at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis, NY 12771.  Following services, a private cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.
