Beverly J. (Mills) Eldred a lifetime resident of the tri-state area died peacefully on February 15, 2026. She was 90 years old.

Born March 24, 1935 to the late Josephine (Marion) and Jacob E. Mills. The youngest of 6 children raised by their father and grandmother in Port Jervis, NY.

Married to her beloved husband Russell F. Eldred on May 20, 1956. They settled down to raise their 2 daughters in Frankford Township, NJ. Later retiring to Shohola, PA.

Beverly was remembered by her daughters as loving, caring, friendly, outgoing and a strong determined woman. After the sudden passing of her husband Russell, she faced life’s challenges with quiet courage-even learning to drive for the first time at the age of 55. Through it all she persevered with resilience and grace.

Beverly adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, had a special love for animals, and lived her life by the motto “eat dessert first”.

In addition to her parents Beverly was predeceased in life by her husband Russell F. Eldred, grandson James D. Reed II, her brothers Jacob, Donald, Richard, and Robert Mills, along with her sister Lucille (Mills) Conklin.

Devoted mother of Cindy Reed with her husband James D. Reed and Robyn Eldred with her husband Michael F. Sherry. Beloved grandmother of Wm. Rusty Bauer, Kevin Bauer and Meagan Boccio, Zachary and Blythe (Hufnagel) Bauer. Adoring great grandmother of Juniper & Alison. A fond aunt and great aunt who will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will take place 11:00AM on Saturday March 21st at The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Milford  300 Broad Street Milford PA 18337.  

A private committal will take place at German Hill Cemetary, Shohola, PA following cremation.
