Irene M. Hyde of Port Jervis passed away on January 9, 2026.  She was 52 years old.

The daughter of the late Patricia and Walter Hyde, she was born on January 28, 1973 in Goshen, NY. 

Irene was a sweet, kind, caring, and loving woman with a wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor that those close to her cherished. Irene spent much of her time enjoying her favorite card games on her computer, a pastime that brought joy. Above all else, she deeply loved her two grandchildren, Nick and Athena, who were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents Irene was predeceased in life by her sister Kathleen Hyde and brother James Hyde. 

Devoted mother of Nicholas Hyde (Ashley).  Beloved grandmother of Nick & Athena.  Dear sister of Theresa Baron, Walter Hyde (Janine), John Hyde (Mary) and Thomas Hyde (Lora).  Irene was a cherished aunt and great aunt who will be missed.  

Private cremation arrangements entrusted to the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home of Port Jervis, NY.  Following cremation burial will take place in the family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.
