Carl P. Slaven of Mongaup Valley passed away peacefully, at Garnett Health Medical Center on October 29, 2025.  He was 86 years old.  

The son of the late Elsa and Harold Slaven, he was born on July 6, 1939 in Morgantown, West Virginia.  

In addition to his parents Carl was predeceased in life by his granddaughter Thisbee.

Beloved husband of Carmen Slaven.  Devoted father of Mica Slaven - LaMothe her husband Peter and Love Slaven.  Cherished grandfather of Galen & Dashiell.  Dear brother of Morty Slaven with his wife Trudy.  Fond uncle of Joel Slaven and Caron Slaven.  We would be remiss to not mention Carl's fur baby Magi who will miss him dearly.  

Services are private at this time.  Funeral and cremation services entrusted to the care of Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home of Port Jervis, NY.
