Marilyn R. Muller Obituary

Marilyn R. Muller of Sparrowbush passed away on September 27, 2025 at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  She was 85 years old.  


The daughter of the late Arthur & Lillian Shields, she was born on May 15, 1940 in Newark, NJ.  


As a dedicated secretary at Port Jervis High School, Marilyn supported students and staff with efficiency until her retirement. A longtime member of the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church.  She also took pride in her past membership in the Business & Professional Woman’s Club, where she connected with others through shared values and aspirations. Above all, Marilyn’s heart was anchored in her role as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherishing her family as her greatest joy and legacy.


In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth E. Muller and her brother Arthur Shields. 


Devoted mother of Kenneth C. Muller (Bobbie Jo) and Lynette Davenport.  Cherished grandmother of Shannon Davenport, Heather Decker (Adam), Kenneth H. Muller (Shannon), Samantha Jo Muller and Stephanie Muller.  Loving great grandmother of Jeegan, Persephone, Camden and Miley.  Dear sister in law of Kathleen Shields, Michael & Patricia Muller and Ellen Pentland.  Dear family friends Linda Russell, Sally Von Sauers, Toni Ludwig and Jim & Kathy Basile.  Fond aunt of her nieces and nephews.  


As per her wishes services are private.  Following cremation final committal will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery with her husband Ken.  Arrangements entrusted to the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home of Port Jervis, NY.
