Rose DePolito of Montague passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2025. She was 91 years old.
The daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Snover, she was born on January 29, 1934 in Frankford, NJ.
Rose was a cherished soul whose passion for crocheting and sewing warmed the hearts of all who knew her. Her hands, even as her mind faltered in her final days, crafted beautiful blankets and stockings, gifts that became treasured keepsakes for family and friends. A devoted lover of animals, Rose found joy in their companionship, treating them as part of her family. Her heart lit up during family gatherings and holidays, where her presence brought a sense of togetherness. Rose’s legacy lives on in the countless handmade creations she shared and the memories of her generous, caring spirit that touched everyone around her.
In addition to her parents Rose was predeceased in life by her husband Thomas DePolito, sons John & Rocco DePolito, grandchildren Jessica and Torey along with her brothers and sisters.
Beloved mother of Tina DePolito, Thomas DePolito Jr (Cheryl), Samuel DePolito (Beth), Daniel DePolito (Nancy) and Robert DePolito (Mary). Rose was a cherished grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who will be missed.
A visitation will take place on Saturday 9/27 from 1 to 3:30PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis NY 12771. Following the services a private cremation will be held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.
