Scott A. Doty of Middletown died unexpectedly on July 29, 2025.  He was 51 years old. 

The son of Lillian and Harry Doty, he was born on October 31, 1973 in Middletown.  

Scott  lived loud and left early.   He first worked as an aide at Middletown Psychiatric, later running machines at Genpak—A fixture of the local scene and nights immersed in music, whether playing it, selling his infamous glow-in-the-dark figurines (earning him the title "Glow King"), or working the Quinnz Pinz. Between shows and standup comedy attempts, he packed more life into 51 years than most do in 80—no regrets, no apologies, just amps cranked to 11. 

Beloved father of Scott & Seth Doty.  Cherished son of Harry and Lillian Doty of Westtown.  Dear brother of Harry Doty Jr and Randy Doty.  Cherished boyfriend of Jennifer Cermak.  Lifetime friend of Tom Lynch.  Fond uncle of Parker, Harrison, Jackson and Wyatt.  

The family will receive guests from 1:30PM to 2:00PM on Saturday 8/16 at Westtown Evangelical Presbyterian Church 813 Route 284, Westttown, NY.  A Memoiral Service will commence at 2:00PM at the Church with Erik Baker officiating.  Following services a continuation of remembrance will take place at the Community House of the Church.
