George H. Babcock Sr of Huguenot died at home on June 20, 2025. He was 80 years old.
The son of the late Frances and Curtis Babcock, he was born on August 26, 1944 in Hunterden, NJ.
George built a lifetime of skill and dedication through his work at Empire Tube and later C & D Technology, where his strong work ethic earned him a promotion to Supervisor - a position he held until his retirement.
A true outdoorsman at heart, George found joy in hunting and fishing, embracing nature. His mechanical talents shone through his love of rebuilding classic cars, a labor of love he proudly shared at car shows. Whether in the workshop, on the water, or in the woods, George approached life with quiet determination and hands that were equally skilled at precision work and holding a fishing rod.
In addition to his parents George was predeceased in life by his first wife Angelina Babcock.
Wife of Linda L. Babcock. Father of George H. Babcock Jr and Ann Marie Metz with her husband Bob. Stepfather of Billy VanHorn, Luke VanHorn (Charlene), Billie Jo Bergeron (Duane). Grandfather of Ashley, Alicia, Elizabeth, Sarah, John and Tiffany. Brother in law of Joanne Terwillger. Uncle of Laurie Orlik.
A visitation will take place on Friday from 2 to 4:00PM and 6 to 8:00PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home. They family will receive guests on Saturday from 10 to 11:00AM at the funeral home. A service will commence at 11:00AM. Following services burial will immediately take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush.
